JOIN US FOR LAUREN’S RUN AND THE CURE CHILDHOOD CANCER ANNUAL PICNIC

The 16th Lauren’s Run and CURE Childhood Cancer Annual Picnic return on May 2, 2010 at Concourse Office park (I-285 and Peachtree Dunwoody Road). Presented by AirTran Airways, this year’s Lauren’s Run will draw more than 2,000 participants to its 5k Race, 2k Fun Run/Walk and much adored Tot Trot.

The race course is lined with tribute signs, featuring pictures of cancer patients, survivors and those lost to cancer, providing a poignant reminder of why we gather.  Form a team, register online, create a fundraising page, purchase a tribute sign. For more information and to get started, click here.

Lauren’s Run will be followed by CURE’s Annual Picnic, where participants will welcome childhood cancer patients and their families. Childhood cancer patients and survivors are invited to attend the picnic even if they do not participate in Lauren’s Run.  Sponsored by Amusement Masters, Speedway Children’s Charities and Publix, the picnic will include delicious food provided by Folks, inflatables, carnival games, arts and crafts and a special area for toddlers and young children.  Hearts and Hooves will also be on hand with miniature horses.

A special and heartfelt thanks to our generous Run and Picnic sponsors:  AirTran Airways, Speedway Children’s Charities, Coca Cola, Equifax, 1Source International, Publix, Wilmington Trust, Virtual Management Technologies, Real Estate Mortgage Networks, Damaballa, Anodyne Health, Tom Kashi Insurance Agency, Wells Fargo.

We also thank our generous in kind sponsors:  Amusement Masters, Folks, Coca Cola, Lynn Crow Photography, Springer Mountain Farms, Contagious,  Metro Awards, American Mountain, Rayen Studios, Playball, Hearts and Hooves, Concourse and Cousins Properties.

We are grateful as a family to have been able to volunteer for CURE’s family picnic. We had a wonderful time and it was so nice to meet the families. I want my children to know that there are families less fortunate than us and that we are here to help .
