CURE’S Kids Conquer Cancer One Day At A Time

kids_huggingSeptember is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month – but many people…too many people…have no idea that cancer affects children, much less that a Childhood Cancer Awareness Month exists. This year, CURE Childhood Cancer is planning a new initiative to raise awareness of childhood cancer during the month of September.

We are very excited to announce a brand new initiative called “CURE’s Kids Conquer Cancer One Day at a Time.”

Each day in September, CURE will highlight a very special child in our CURE family who has been affected by cancer. Some of the children whose stories we will tell are currently fighting the battle, some are children who have finished therapy and are living the cure, and others are children who have lost their battles but will be loved and remembered always.

A different child will be featured each day on our website, blog and on http://www.firstgiving.com/curechildhoodcancer. In addition to sharing the stories of these brave children and their families, we will aim to raise $1,000 a day each day in the month of September in their honor in order to help fund research that will lead to better treatments and cures for childhood cancers.

We hope you will participate in this wonderful initiative. For one month, commit to reading the stories each day. Donate in honor of these children and bring us closer to a CURE. Share our initiative with others. Let’s make September count for children with cancer!

Please be sure to include me on the Kids Conquer Cancer One Day at a Time daily feature.I would like to read each child’s story. I think it’s an awesome thing you’re doing and as a parent of a child who has lost the battle to cancer, I appreciate all your efforts in research and support. May God bless you all!
